One such challenge came in the form of Bee Haven Consulting’s Town Centre location in North Vancouver. The project was initialized at the beginning of 2021, with an opening day planned for June. However, after nearly 14 weeks of waiting for DNV approval, Bee Haven was in danger of not opening to their 38 families by the time school started back in September.

Working closely with Bosa Development, Omega Construction was chosen to complete the work and given the impossible task of getting Bee Haven approved and open by September. Despite setbacks and a tight timeline, Omega was able to complete the project on time. Bee Haven received final inspection approval from Vancouver Coastal Health on September 7th and opened on September 8th after obtaining their licensing department’s approval.

When we decided to proceed with the necessary shielding renovations for the installation of our new CBCT, we were given a list of contractors who had some experience. Mehran was quick to respond and come to visit the site. His estimates (even informally at our initial visit) were accurate and he provided functional and esthetic solutions to the retrofit of our panoramic room. He has a good relationship with the biomedical engineers at the BCDA which allows him to communicate effectively and speedily regarding the site plan. Most importantly, when it came time to perform the work, Mehran and his team completed the job without any headache to me. I was on vacation the week that they did the work and a complication arose – an unexpected pipe in a wall that was planned for removal. After discovering the issue, Mehran re-designed the plan, got approval from the regulators, re-ordered custom product, and finished on time. I will be hiring Mehran again. (Note that the cost includes additional line items such as installation of AV equipment in the office.)
